How to block and replace a Standard Bank card

You can instantly report stolen or lost bank cards with the Standard Bank App s that it can be blocked. Simply click on ‘Manage card’ and set the changes as you need.

To do this, follow these steps:

  1.  Log in to the Standard Bank app
  2. Click on the “Cards” tab.
  3. Find the card that you wish to block and click on the “Block” button.
  4. You will be asked to confirm that you wish to block the card. Click “Yes” to confirm.
  5. Your card will now be blocked and no further transactions will be authorized.

Once you have blocked your Standard Bank card, you will not be able to use it again. If you later find your card or if it was temporarily misplaced, you will need to request a new card from Standard Bank. As soon as you detect suspicious activity, or your card has been stolen, you need to report it. Keep your card safe at all times to ensure the security of your account.
