How to check if a company is registered with CSD

You can check if a company is registered with CSD on the CSD Portal The CSD Portal is a single database that serves as the source of all approved suppliers who provide goods and services to the Government of South Africa. The supplier information is  verified with institutions such as the South African Revenue Service, Companies and Intellectual Property Commission and Department of Home Affairs. National Treasury maintains the database on behalf of the government.

CSD users are able to search for supplier by using the item names mentioned on the instruction. Please follow the following steps to perform a CSD search:

  1. Log into your CSD account
  2. Click on Search and select the Supplier Search option.
  3. Complete basic search elements like supplier commodity (eg: Cloth Mask), delivery location, tax complaint -, local address – and verified bank account indicator and click on Search.
  4. The matching records for the search input provided will be displayed. The multiple matching records resulting from the search will enable the additional filters and PPPFA filters options to further refine the search. The user may apply additions criteria to refine the search results.
  5. The search results can be exported to a report you can view each suppliers’ report by clicking on the registration report button.

It remains the supplier’s responsibility to confirm that they are registered on CSD through the assistance of National Treasury.All suppliers are required to provide the required information on the CSD website as a matter of compliance and must ensure that the required information is complete, accurate and comprehensive.
